GIVING STATEMENTS - Frequently asked questions

A. If you are an ONLINE GIVER using our subsplash platform, the same email you use to receive receipts for gifts is the same email that will have your Giving Statement. NB: Every quarter giving statements were sent in the previous year, as well as at the end of the year and the 1st week in the new year. Please SEARCH your email for email notices from Sender: Subsplash Giving noreply@secure.subsplash.com Subject "Your online giving statement for Lighthouse Ministries International is ready to view" B. If you are a CASH & CHECK GIVER, provided that we have your correct contact information i.e. the most current email address on file, you would have received an email from no-reply@StartChurch.com on behalf of Lighthouse Ministries International titled Contribution Statement. Please SEARCH your email for the words "CONTRIBUTION STATMENT" sent from the email address listed above. The previous year's statement (delivered on January 31 of current year) has been released in two formats: 1. Summary Statement 2. Details Statement ------- All statements as of 2023 are sent to all the email contacts on file. We do NOT print statements.

1. We are ONLY required by the IRS to distribute statements of $250 and more. We do not produce statements under that amount. Donors are free to report on their own, any giving amounts below the $250 limit. 2. If your donation did not meet the $250 bracket, and you wish to receive a statement copy, please send requests and/or any inquiries to statements@lhmiinc.org 3. It could also mean that we DO NOT have any contact data for you or your existing contact information was not updated, using the online form on this page to update your information. Then send an email request for another statement to be sent. 4. It could also mean that you are an online giver who does not provide their full or correct name on the platform or only uses a giving handle. We cannot verify who those donors are, as giving platforms e.g. CashApp or PayPal Giving Fund does not release donor's details . 5. If you are a PayPal Giving Fund donor, PayPal will directly send you a giving statement. PayPal Giving Fund donors are anonymous unless the donor checks the box to allow recipients to know who sent the donation. 6. You used a fundraising platform e.g. Zeffy or GoFundMe. These platforms do not share your tax statement with donation recipients (us), but they are shared directly with you the donor to the email you used at the time of giving. Please reach out to the platform for a copy of your statement. NB: All requested statements will ONLY be sent via email for Cash & Check donors, in response to written requests. Online donors may request a resend of their statements by email as well, indicating which account and the email address associated with your account. For all other inquiries please allow at least 5 business days to receive a response.

If you have MULTIPLE statements, it may be because of one or all of the options listed below: 1. You used a different name and email address. 2. You gave under your business account. 3. You gave using both Cash & Check, as well as online giving platforms Please add the total contribution from each statement to know your TOTAL contribution amount.

You may request in writing via statement@lhmiinc.org a DETAILED COPY of your statement and one of our Finance Team Members will respond. Detailed copies of giving statements are NOT posted by mail, they can only be received via e-mail. NO. We do not print statements. Additional statements or detailed copies of statements will only be delivered via e-mail. For our record keeping, you must make a written request and a Finance Department Team Member will respond appropriately. Send all requests to statement@lhmiinc.org You must indicate what exactly you wish to receive i.e.: 1. Another copy of your statement(s), or 2. A detailed copy of your statement(s) and include your FULL NAME For Online Giving, another request will be made to the platform to EMAIL you another copy of your statement. Please note statements are delivered DIRECTLY from our online giving platforms i.e. Subsplash, Zeffy or GoFundMe For CashApp and PayPal users, as of 2023 you may download your statement directly from the platform. NB: All requested statements will ONLY be sent via email for Cash & Check donors, in response to written requests. Online donors may request a resend of their statements by email as well, indicating which account and the email address associated with your account. • Our donor management system allots an account to EVERY individual DONOR and we cannot decipher who are joint donors unless joint donors disclose to us their filing status. • For online givers, you may also add your spouse's name to your online profile in the first name section e.g. First Name: Jim & Jane Last Name: Doe • For all other donors, e-Mail us at statement@lhmiinc.org to request the change of how your name(s) is/are listed to reflect both names. • Should you receive two(2) statements at the end of a calendar year, we encourage you to merge the statements; any changes will take effect in the new calendar year. If you wish to receive a joint statement, please e-Mail us via statement@lhmiinc.org (statement@lhmiinc.org) NB: This change will take effect for the next calendar year.

1. CashApp does not give us access to see full names of CashApp handles ( i.e. a donor does not use his/her correct first and last name). 2. CashApp does not disclose your address, cellphone number, bank acount information, nor mailing address to recipients. Due to the above we are unable to prepare statements, without accurate contact information. We encourage you to consult your CashApp Account Statements for the calendar year in question.

Only CashApp donors who updated their contact details to match their handles used on CashApp between 2018 and 2022 have received statements generated by our Finance Department. As of January 1, 2023, we no longer prepare contribution / giving statements for third party payment platforms - this includes CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, etc. You may continue to give using these platforms where applicable i.e. if we have an account; however, you will be responsible for tracking your transaction history by accessing the monthly statements provided by these third-party payment platforms. We encourage you to make the switch to our new online giving platform designed for church and charity contributions, gifts, donations giving. ALL STATEMENTS are delivered electronically. There is NO In-person pick-up , in certain extreme cases (no email address present or contact information) OR unless announced, during a Worship Service whichever is applicable, a special accommodation may be made, based on prior arrangements. Same-day requests will not be fulfilled. Please use our GIVING STATEMENT DONOR'S UPDATE Form to share your most current e-mail address with us so that you may receive your statements by the announced deadline(s). You may call the church office on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 3pm and 6pm (ET); that's when our phones will be monitored. Any calls after 6pm will not be monitored.
